Keven Daken

Keven Daken is a Nova Scotia–born country singer, songwriter, producer and performer whose career spans two decades. From his early days cutting his teeth in Halifax bands to establishing himself as an internationally recognized singer/songwriter, Keven has built a name on heartfelt storytelling, strong melodies, and an undeniable connection to his audience.

As a songwriter, Keven has had dozens of songs recorded by other artists, including John Landry, Jamie Warren, Colin Amey, Tonya Kennedy, Derek James Tilley, and Jolene Harnish. His first professional cut, Bottom of the Ninth (John Landry), became the title track of Landry’s sophomore album, and his co-write Getaway with Colin Amey broke into the Canadian top-25.

Keven’s own artist career has earned him critical acclaim and chart success. His single "Living Inside of Lonely" reached the Top 10 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown, has amassed over 120,000 streams on Spotify, and was nominated for Country Recording of the Year at Nova Scotia Music Week in 2023. His holiday release "I Ain’t Doin’ Christmas Without You" was added to over 80 stations nationwide and featured on Maritime Center Stage’s Christmas Special. In June of 2025, his single "Country Soon" hit #1 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown and has already accumulated nearly 200,000 streams on Spotify alone. In total, Keven has amassed nearly 1 million streams and views across social media platforms, reflecting the growing reach of his music.

Keven has also been recognized with multiple award nominations, including 4 Josie Music Award nods in 2025, covering Artist of the Year, Vocalist of the Year, Songwriter Achievement, and Song of the Year, as well as a nomination for an Intercontinental Music Award for Country Song of the Year.

Beyond his own music, Keven is the founder of Country Cares, a charity event that has quickly become a celebrated annual tradition. What began in 2024 with eight artists has already grown to feature 14 performers from across the Maritimes, raising both awareness and support for important causes like Single Snowflake - Myasthenia Gravis, while uniting the country music community.

Now, Keven is preparing to release his next EP, produced in collaboration with multi-CCMA and Juno Award–winning producer Jason Barry. Nearing completion, the project will showcase his most personal and polished work to date, with a new radio single just around the bend.
