Keven Daken, originally from Oxford, Nova Scotia, has always had a profound connection with music.
In his early twenties, Keven played in various bands in Halifax. Subsequently, he and his family relocated to London, Ontario, to pursue a more serious career in music. His songwriting talent led to his first professional success with “Bottom of the Ninth,” performed by John Landry, and several other songs recorded by prominent Canadian artists.
Keven took a break from music but, in 2023, he reestablished himself in the music industry with significant accomplishments. His single “Living Inside of Lonely” achieved national recognition, reaching the top 10 on the Canadian Indie Countdown and amassing over 118,000 Spotify streams. Additionally, it was nominated for Country Recording of the Year at Nova Scotia Music Week 2023.
He spent much of 2024 playing shows and writing songs with numerous artists and songwriters. In November of 2024, Keven released “I Ain’t Doin Christmas Without You.” The song hit radio like a blizzard, getting added to over 80 stations across Canada and was featured on Maritime Center Stage for their Christmas Special.
2025 will feature the completion of his EP with multiple CCMA and Juno award winning producer, Jason Barry, several tour dates, a new radio release from Keven, and multiple songs released by other artists, including Jolene Harnish, who will be releasing a co-written song by Keven in February 2025 called “One Road Town.”
